The Brief
Ford Motor Company partnered with the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation to support the One America Appeal, a hurricane relief initiative launched by all five living former U.S. presidents. The goal was to organize a high-profile benefit concert that would raise funds for victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, while also fostering a sense of national unity and support.
The Final Product
I served as a coordinating producer for the event, "Deep from the Heart: The One America Appeal Concert," held on October 21, 2017. My responsibilities included pre-production and on-site support, specifically overseeing VIP management to ensure a seamless experience for the most high-profile invitees.
The concert featured a rare gathering of all five living former U.S. presidents: Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, who each delivered remarks in between musical performances by artists Lady Gaga, Alabama, Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, and Yolanda Adams.
